Father, Creator,
You made us to share in this creation with your greatest creation, man.
You set us under them and gave us breath.
We want to live, to love, to be - yet we are loved and we are wasted.
Killed because we are too weak, too old, or too sick.
Lord, we have only offered them our unconditional love and eager companionship.
What have we done to them that we are so easily cast aside? We too hurt, bleed, and die.
Where is our hope Father, except in those who will cry for us and seek justice for us?
We are property in their law, O Lord. We have no voice; no plea for justice can come from us.
Help us Lord- help them to help us- Hear our cry.
